Arts Commons Transformation
We are delighted to announce that the team of KPMB Architects, Hindle Architects, and Tawaw Architectural Collaborative have been selected to lead the Arts Commons Transformation (ACT) project in Calgary, Alberta.
“A downtown cultural institution since 1985, Arts Commons has ably served the city’s arts community for more than 35 years. ACT will give Arts Commons new arts, culture and event venues that are flexible and adaptable to today’s evolving entertainment and societal needs. When complete, ACT will give Calgary a modern, welcoming and inclusive arts centre and performance venue right in the heart of the city. Rolling out in two phases, ACT will see the addition of a new building and a full renovation of the existing one, and it will deliver spaces whose physical and technical offerings meet today’s high standards for inclusivity, accessibility, and health and safety.”
